The closest I've heard so far are Grand Wazoo and Waka/Jawaka.  They're not quite the same, though they're some excellent (top-notch, I'd say) material, and still very much jazz oriented.

I too need more Zappa.

Do any of his other albums have a similar sound or style to Hot Rats?

Hmm, Make a Jazz Noise Here or YCDTOSA2?  (both eventually, of course, but which should I get first?)

You're preaching to the choir; I have over 50 of his albums, haha.

Absolute musical genius, pretty much my biggest idol ever.

That title probably goes (musically) to Christian Vander for me.  Zappa's a close contender, though.

I think I'm going to go to bed. Because I need to wake up in 6 hours. To study for an exam in 12 hours. I might be back here in a week or so, depending on how things turn out. I might try to write a review in my spare time, which will be weird since I haven't written a review in about 3 years it seems.

I still managed to almost go over my student overdraft even after having a loan and everything....I'd like to know where about £500 went...

I don't have an overdraft for that reason.

Smart man. I needed one because I actually don't have money. I had to get a bank account so I could get a student loan LOL
