There was some band with ice in their name or something that you bought along with a few other albums.
I only heard of Iceage this year. I was interested and a little confused by the tracks they released, but after hearing lots of good things about their new album, I decided to dive in and buy it. I'm really enjoying it. Kind of a cross between Nick Cave, Joy Division, The Fall, and Velvet Underground. The whole thing is big and beautiful and sounds like it's carefully crafted but is also kind of off-kilter and threatens to destroy itself at any moment. Really good album. Don't know how much you'd like it (you may or may not), but I recalled that album-purchasing binge you went on and remembered an "ice" band and wondered they were that band.
