Joining late.......
All know I am a Saints fan........without a real headcoach, I don't see them going better than 10-6, possible wild card...I can't justify 11-5. Already 0-1.......
Unless.....the Falcons fall apart or choke in the end as the seem to always do.
Then the Saints have a chance to win their division.

I was going to say before I clicked on the link, that has to be an article from The Onion.
And the Cleveland Browns are never allowed to go away. Somebody has to replace us as the bottom rung in the AFC North after all. |

Legal Loophole In Art Modell's Will Eliminates Cleveland Browns Forever
BALTIMORE—Exploiting a legal technicality that allowed him to regain full ownership of the Cleveland Browns organization in death, former team owner Art Modell specified his wish to permanently dismantle the 66-year-old franchise in his last will and testament, family sources reported Tuesday. “It is my dying wish that the Cleveland Browns football team and associated assets be liquidated and distributed amongst the benefactors listed herein,” read part of the document, in which Modell also stripped the franchise of its right to the team’s colors, which the Baltimore Ravens will adopt for their second alternate uniforms beginning next season. “Furthermore, I hereby set aside funds in the amount of $50 million for the creation of a nonprofit foundation dedicated to ensuring that no professional football team moves to or is ever established in the city of Cleveland, from now until the end of time.” At press time, sources confirmed Modell had bequeathed the Browns’ 1964 NFL championship to LeBron James and ordered the immediate demolition of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. No no, how I wish it was true, but (just like most of the US) the people of this thread have at best a casual respect for the Giants for what they've done.
They are a "major local" team IMO. Big time team, but unlike the Cowpies, Steelers or Packers are pretty much limited to the NYC metro area. This used to annoy me but I kinda like it now. And eh....Remember I had to live with Eli, so I kind of chuckle at every new "real deal". I just cant get too excited either direction, over a QB for a few years. Esp since so many have busted. But hey, if he plays, and improves, like he did that first game its bad news for the NFC East Anyway, I really am not too stoked for this season. Dont need to tell me how brutal the Giants sched is and that o line and secondary are jokes. I stick by 7-9 wins, but Eli can't make the magic happen again and the team needs to rebuild. Bad o line or not...that was a pretty wretched game for Cutler. 40% complete, 4 picks? Tebow-esque!
I'll be at the Giants/Buccs game. I actually don't feel like it, so it better be a good game. Only other games that look appealing are Baltimore/Philly, Detroit/San Fran and Denver/Atlanta. Maybe the Jets/Pitt just because they are sheisty lil devils in Gang Green land...and I wanna see if Dirty Sanchez can have 2 straight good games. |

Not at all dude, I was agreeing with you 100% about picking games. It is pointless unless like you say, you pick every single game and then add up all the wins, cross check, etc.... All the people who pick this team to go 10-6 and that team to go 12-4, if that do some basic math they realize they just violated the laws of logic AND reality. I will be a little "sharp" around here, since my team, the Redskins have lost for 20 years, so I am the very definition of "punch drunk" after all the crap Dan Snyder has done to a once proud franchise. |

I am just having fun with you. And yes, I read two back to back posts that were PRO Giants, so I thought....well enough of this rubbish, time for a little post to annoy some New Yorkers! Seriously you guys have won two Lombardi trophies in a few years so your Giant team would be the logical target for razzin! The Eagles have never won sh*&t, oh, cept for that Chuck Bednarik led team from I think in 1960.... so I wouldn't even waste breath talkin smack bout the eagles.... I said I have been a fan since Vince Lombardi came to Washington. Don't you know who Vince Lombardi was? They named the Super Bowl trophy after him... So yes, I am a long time Redskins fan, for over 40 years, though the last 20 have been brutal! Seriously the Giants do have a CRAZY-HARD schedule, since the NFC east will beat each other up this year, it will be so hard for the Giants to survive that and still be in playoff position. Just the cold hard odds, actually I respect the Giants and I don't dislike them at all. I hate only one team, since I am a Redskin fan that should be obvious which team I think are a bunch of crack smokin (Michael Irvin), mommy beating (Dez Bryant) clowns....yep those idiots who claim they are "America's Team.... I just watched tonight's game. So much for my pick that the Bears will win the division. But I do think RGIII is the real deal. The Redskins problem is their secondary, from what I see. I think RGIII will do fine as the offense around him is sound. Can the Redskin's defensive backs stop anybody in this pass happy NFL??? |

Pretty excited for this game. Tough to get much more classic than Packers and Bears.
Though it may not be as epic as I hope, in terms of offense vs defense. Especially with Cutler and Marshall reunited. |

I don't think he's in the top 5 of the absolute elite in the NFL that have to go down as some of the best to ever play. (Peyton, Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Eli [Who doesn't necessarily fit that description but I would put as #5]). But he's a very good qb, who aside from making Favre type mistakes, handles the pocket exceptionally well, has good accuracy, etc etc. He gets too much flack. Romo's good stuff even though I despise him and his stupid face.

I think if the Cowgirls miss the playoffs again or have a terrible performance in them, it's mostly not Romo's fault. I enjoy ripping on him a lot, but I think the guy could easily be a top 5 QB if it wasn't for other parts of the team (especially the defense at key moments) letting them down. Assuming that those things don't happen this year, I think the Cowgirls have the kind of team that could make a deep push in the playoffs.

Well I think the Giants are a very good team this year so he may be referring to me as well. The Skins beat, actually dominated really, the Giants in two games last year. However, that does not mean that things will be static in that respect this year. It's not as if the Skins did anything particularly well that happened to give them an advantage. They just played better those 2 games. Occasionally, a better team loses to a worse team because that worse team played better, cleaner, more fundamental football. I don't see why that would happen again though. Even with the upgrade at qb, I think the Skins are inferior.
RGIII looked great against a great team, but don't expect that to be the case every week. |

As for RG3 just too soon.
Players aren't made on day 1. How many "real deals" have gone nowhere? That said I am quite scared of the Redskins and its not all RG3 either. Defense should be quietly solid which can't necessarily be said for the G men, Eagles or Cowboys. And if RG3 DOES keep up that pace, well he'll be a legit dual threat QB like we've not seen that will scare the bejesus out of everyone. edit: Assuming you're a skins fan, do please avoid becoming the Jets. It's great to be proud and excited but dont let a little success outdo the many years of woe and misery Edited by JJLehto - September 12 2012 at 23:00 |

Just out of curiosity...what makes you say that about the Giants fans?
There are only 2 here, myself and Man With Hat and I'm the more vocal one. Besides that we have an Eagles fan, a Steelers fan (who hates every team and player not on Pittsburgh, and also hates Pittsburgh) a Ravens fan and a Pats fan though he's vanished, and a few casual fans. I was gunna say, weird you think there's some Giants overload here but given your tone...you seem to hate them so I'll just assume thats why lol You're just wrong though, outside us 2 they are hated in this thread and viewed as a joke and flukes (because ya know, a fluke happens 8 times) No one here really seems to disagree, myself included, this year is not their year. But you must admit, last years sched was brutal and they made the playoffs, and the NFC east is a mess. Even if they do, they will lose (coming from a Giants fan) If the Niners dont go to the SB it'll be a travesty. No one else is as balanced or good overall. Excellent points, I don't make won-loss predictions for the same reasons, you would indeed have to pick every single game and then tally every thing up/cross reference....... otherwise you are just spouting nonsense. ........Since there seem to be waaaaaay too many NY Giants fans here I will remind them that the Giants will miss the playoffs due to their BRUTAL schedule, not because RGIII will beat them twice. Skins beat Giants twice last year with a clown for a QB. What do you think RGIII will do to them??? Playoff teams: Patriots Texans Ravens Broncos wild card: Steelers - Chargers Bears Cowpies 49ers Falcons wild card: Redskins - Lions I have been a fan since the Great Vince Lombardi came to Washington to coach the Redskins. RGIII is the real deal and he puts the Skins back in the playoffs to the shock & dismay of the greater NYC area... I hate to admit it, but if Tony Romo can stop fumbling snaps on FG attempts, Cowpies with a balanced team which they have not had since Troy Aikman, win the division... Mike Vick goes back to prison and Andy Reid gets fired and Eagles miss the playoffs.... (I hope Vick goes back to prison, but I am sure of the rest...) Peyton Manning goes deep into playoffs with Denver but loses to Baltimore who go to the Super Bowl. NFC Super Bowl team is anybody's guess, all NFC teams are way to close to call... One last prediction, Michael Strahan gets that 2 inch gap between his front teeth fixed and doubles his amount of commercial endorsements.... |

It's not even a balls thing, how many stupid/crazy things have I said (not just football but in general) without care?
Team records are just a crap shoot these days. Most "sh*t" teams aren't that far off and a few plays often swing these games ya know? The NFC East really is utter madness for the time being. The Cowboys have some talent but always Cowboys out...The Eagles are beast but never know what Vick will do/get hurt and they seemed to struggle keeping their star power from exploding. The Giants all depend on how their D Line does, and as we know they can squander a 15 win season or win the SB with 6... The Redskins, sh*t, I cant even think about it. Their year could go any way. I do expect 7-9 wins for the Giants Edited by JJLehto - September 12 2012 at 19:39 |

I don't feel like going through the schedules of all 32 teams and putting my picks in a matrix to make sure that they actually agree with each other. Since I'm not in the habit of making prediction that may be impossible, then I will refrain from this. I'll give you the Eagles' record of 10-6 with the 6 losses coming to Dal, NYG, Redskins, Saints, Steelers, Bucs.

And anybody can just randomly pick records that may or may not be impossible for the teams to actually earn. |

I don't consider any of these predictions real without records. Anybody can just grab 6 teams from each conference.

I wouldn't be upset with that superbowl.
The hardest for me to call was the NFC east. Though I think only one will make it again, so as much as I hope the gmen do, I don't think they will be able to. Unless our fourth string secondary is monterous and aquire new people on the oline.
