I have to say I think Harrison did the most solid and inspired post-Beatles work, I'd probably say 'Bangladesh'.. few of the songs on the list are my favorites, for John it'd be 'How Do You Sleep?' or 'Instant Karma', and Paul had some very good stuff with his debut and Wings

My Sweet Lord by George Harrison for 2 reasons. One, I like the song and two, out of sympathy. After all it cost him a shedload of money.

McCartney's Monkberry Moon Delight, followed closely by Lennon's Gimme Some Truth.

Run of the Mill- George Harrison
In fact, I would say I prefer the entire All Things Must Pass album over any other solo material

Most solo efforts cannot be measured against the Beatles songs from their best period. But all of them have created some good songs. My favourite is John Lennon's Working Class Hero. Live and Let DIe comes second.

Hard for me to say which one, but it would definitely be a George Harrison tune. I'll ist my faves here, and then choose #1:
Beware of Darkness
All Things Must Pass
Isn't it a Pity (which I don't think is about the Beatles - listen for the larger context and it becomes 10x more powerful)
Any Road (despite the fact I always hear it in the grocery store, it's still a great song)
Marwa Blues
Brainwashed
As those who know can tell, I'm big on his first and last albums.
And the winner is: Isn't It a Pity - for that larger context of humankind's inhumanity to other humans, the beauty of the song, and not for the Hey Jude redux.
What a great loss to the world of music.

John Lennon - I Don't Want to Be a Soldier.
I have to admit though that I've only heard their solo albums here and there.

Just for the Record..... While My Guitart Gently Weeps, Something, TaxMan etc are all Beatles songs even though they appear on the Best of George Harrison.... so you shouldn't pick them!
