Slipknot are they prog metal ?

I`m not a fan of Slipknot but on some level I do respect the drummer Joey  Jordison,  he is as progressive a drummer as half the prog metal drummers I have heard !  I feel the question needs to be asked is it possible slipknot could also be considered  as prog ?      I mean Joey Jordison is known as one of the best drummers these days  we should claim him as one of our own !    

 am I serious or not ?    not sure ?   sain or not ?     not sure  ?
