I believe there is some kind of snobbery in most envionments, but the type of snobbery differs, depending on values, artistic references, and especially the context. For instance, a lot of music critics look down at prog rock.

Discontent is being oriented towards the author... So, for 14 years prog snobs have become more sensitive and more touchy.

I don't think you are meant to take this poll this seriously. LOL

Exactly... please!

I would add a few more:
 - Music strikes a more essential chord within us than average people
 - We invest much more energy into our musical listening
 - As failed musicians, we all appreciate those that can do astonishing things with their instruments more than we can
 - Because we lead such monastic lives (including possessing exceptionally high degrees of ineptitude in interpersonal relationships), we have nothing better to do
 - Because life imitates art and all prog rockers are arrogant, self-possessed snobs

The poll needs an "all of the above" option...

Here's a poll I stole directly from 2005! LOL
Yes, such a poll was active in that year and got 193 votes in total.
The question and the poll options are exactly the same, and I think this is a theme that after 14 years is still not resolved, if I may say so.
Let's see if the forum is more active today, pick an option and keep the discussion going.
