I'm definitely going to start going to non-classical concerts once I'm in college though. I just hope I can afford tickets.

You can see a lot of quality shows for around $10 at the Church. It's also walking distance from Penn's campus.

Which Church? And what bands have played there? I'm not familiar with the venues west of the Schuylkill [it took a very long time to learn how to spell that word].

I'd go to classical concerts if there were any. LOL

I prefer 'classical' music, but I by far prefer a 'rock' concert.

Mmm, Xing Sa.

And my mom doesn't actually dislike Magma, not sure what exactly she thinks though.

Thanks, it does make me feel a bit better. I can't believe I used to spend more hours on here than I would sleeping.

I used to post more when the Shred was really active, I am pretty sure I have had upwards of 100 posts per day. LOL

Been there, done that. How do you think I got an average of 60 posts per day? Crazy bad habits of not sleeping and going to school with little to no sleep, and then posting for hours on end up until 4 in the morning.

Now I'll be more realistic with my posting. I'm going to make sure I sleep and restrict myself.

It'll be nice to have you around.

My mom actually really likes Magma after I introduced them to her. She thought they were singing in French. LOL

I suspect I will unknowingly see you at concerts in the near future then.

I'll look out for Euler.

I never go to concerts either, but that is just because I live in the middle of nowhere.

The record store I was in today had every Koenjihyakkei album in stock. You would have loved it.

Where is this record store?

It's AKA Music on 2nd and Market. It should be your best friend.

Almost every time I go in I end up buying the album which the staff has playing. It's everything I could imagine I'd want in a record store. It's also the box office for r5 productions, so you can avoid surcharges there too.

Awesome! I'm surprised I've never heard of it. Are the prices generally reasonable? And are the records mostly in good condition? The record stores I've been to in the area are usually full of barely playable scratched records.

And my parents never let me go to concerts (concerns about hearing loss, etc....) but next year they can't stop me!

Yup and yup. They have a new and used collection. The used are almost always like new condition.

Apparently there's a VdGG concert at the London Barbican but I don't know if I should spend the Ł15/20 to get the ticket. I am a poor student after all. Really tempted to do so though.

Vintage Velvet Room member? Good deal. Thumbs Up

I used to be so bad in that room. Got up to an average of 60 posts a day. Last time I posted here I only stuck around for a week. I might actually stay around for longer this time and actually write reviews properly. I haven't done that in years. I feel old. Disapprove

You are only a little more than a month older than me, and if you think your posting habits were bad, perhaps mine will make you feel better. LOL

LOL

Thanks, it does make me feel a bit better. I can't believe I used to spend more hours on here than I would sleeping.

Only by parts of Terre and Bois.

Which parts are those?

I mostly am not sure about the keyboard parts.  I like the bassy and Zeuhl parts, as well as the track that sounds like Led Bib at times (track 12).

The last parts of those suites. It's still a very enjoyable album, though. Feu is brilliant.

Off to bed. Will give Shadows of the Sun a listen tomorrow.
