I've got chickenpox at the moment (), so I've got a lot of time to listen to music (). So far today, I have listened to: Art Bears - Hopes And Fears (twice) Sergei Rachmaninoff - Piano Concerto No. 3 Tangerine Dream - Stratosfear But there are quite a few on my list. I'll check in again in about a day or so (if I don't go to hospital).

Have a listen yourself, Sam, this is the version I bought a CD reissue of recently:
Apparently there's also a 90's English remake, which I really have no interest in hearing, it's great just as it is this way!
Although you won't hear it at the start so much, there's a very strong Gentle Giant-influence throughout a lot of the album. But there's more to the band than being a simple clone band, and there's even quite an RPI-sound to little moments here and there, but especially on the final track (which could have easily fit on any RPI album if it had been sung in Italian!). It's a really nice album, I'm very happy to own it.
I'm kind of stalled with a slight writers block on wrapping up my review of it, but hopefully I'll get through it soon!

Now that makes me happy to hear.
How about that cover of 'knights in white Satin.' ? Unbelievable if you asked me, but the real kicker is ....This Road followed by that amazing Chopin inspired piano instrumental 'Grace.' Wow! Blew me away.
Glad you liked, Sam. Give it a few more spins and it will take over your musical world. :)
It would be a perfect cover without the double drum pedal thing near the end Yeah, I was surprised with the diversity of it, I thought it would be difficult to listen but it's really not. The vocals are incredible

Today.
APP-- Live Span (2013) -both discs Oceans of slumber-- winter ( can't put it down! ) Devin Townsend-- Z2 ( what a fun album. Just amazing. ) Dead soul tribe--lullaby for the devil Arena-- Welcome to the stage. Headspace-- all that you fear is gone. ( loving this one. Huge quality all around. )
APP-- Ammonia Avenue. ( so underrated. Some of the best songs APP ever did exist on this disc. )
I remember that album being simply a good collection of pop tunes, I used to play it quite a lot when I first got it.
Now the real question is - what do you think of the `controversial' `Stereotomy'?! I used to find that one a real challenge, but I think near the end I was quite enjoying it (but I don't recall listening to it in a decade now or more?).
Michael, to be truly honest, I find not one APP album a challenging listen. Stereotomy is a fine album but probably my least favourite of the lot. APP's diversity is very good to me. I like the switch between something like I-Robot, then firing on say, Eve. I really do have an appreciation. For all 10 studio albums and all their live albums are f**king gold!! APP are most likely to go down as one of the best Prog rock groups of all time for me. Creating crossover Prog...who's better?
