I used to like Coldplay when they came out, but I haven't checked out what they do for years now. What I heard sounded like they keep repeating themselves to death with less and less inspiration. The first two albums are still great though.

Here's the first thing I heard anything by or related to Coldplay. Don't hate me.

When it comes to Coldplay.

He does have clues when it comes to making music.

STEVIN WILLSON KNOS EVRYTHING. Stern Smile
Nah brah.  His music is actually pretty similar to Coldplay's, to be honest.
Confused

Umm... no comment.

Also, it was only a joke.

Viva La Vida was the only album I've listened to.  It was pretty good, but it did get kind of monotonous after a while.

Both Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head are much better.  I probably like them about equally.

Those are probably the most well known tracks off the other albums.  They are kind of poppy but they're also very pretty songs.
My only real problem with Coldplay is that all of their songs are "pretty."  If there was more variety, then they'd be a pretty great band, IMO.

I'm fine with just "pretty" music.

A friend of mine once made over $40 in half an hour of playing the song "Viva la Vida" on bassoon on the Atlantic City boardwalk. It was pretty epic.

They certainly aren't as bad as some people make them out to be.

I know, if anybody mainstream has to top the charts I'd rather it be Coldplay than Gaga or someone like that.

That being said I'm not too fond of their latest album though it does have a few good moments.

The ending is a pretty beautiful track too.

As much as I worship Hugh Hopper, I think I'd prefer to listen Black Oni.

Hoppertunity Box is great though.  That reminds me, I need to listen to that live Bone CD.
