I'd love to but I don't know enough album covers/bands to do justice to any clues, so I'm happy to wait for your next one even if it takes a while, Tapfret, you're pretty damn good at it too

Then I must have been struck by blindness (or my eyes just going backward as happens quite regularly to people who are in their 50's). I looked a number of times at their album covers and I overlooked it a number of times.

"We write songs in english ourselves" should be the literal translation (as far as my knowledge of Italian, with some added value of the Italian pocket dictionary on my desk, reaches) , but I can't get it either. I guess it is an Italian band, but that Italian words may put me on the wrong track: it seems, for example, that the words on the cover of Marillion's Brave, are in Dutch, but these are so badly readable that I can't make chocolate of it.

Cool! A better translation should help us, and I bet your pocked dictionary is better than my google translate lol

Yeah - it might be a throw. I'll keep thinking and searching too. Feel like we're close...

Shoot, number 5 was one I thought would go first. Then I also thought the hints were making it waaay too obvious. The next hint: the words on the paper are not as important as the shape the paper is folded into.

#4: Uncool - Bumblefoot

That leaves only #5 to meet the demand.

3. Swan song for instrumental metal group. (U.S.)
4. Metal homage to lounge/Tom Jones (with fretless guitars)
5. Noi scriviamo canzoni in inglese! (its a dead give away if you go enter this in google translate)
10. U.S. J/RF  (1995)
15. Clunky U.S. (bassist lead) PR
26. Dutch jazz/metal fusion (also instrumental and often compared to #3)
30. Canadian (technical) meta
l (w/beards)

Can't believe #5 survived down to the final 3. Would have thought it first to go.
