If Deep Purple have a lot of weak albums then Uriah Heep have a majority of weak albums.

I get most enjoyment out of Heap, generally.

But later Deep Purple (with Steve Morse) has been a revelation.

Virtually impossible to choose. Zeppelin tends to win these kind of polls largely because they never got a chance to eventually put out stinkers like the other three surely did. They played it right by ending the band upon losing such a key member, and therefore have retained a lot of their mystique. They are the James Dean of these bands.

But as far as I'm concerned, the classic periods of all four bands cannot cancel each other out to me. I honestly don't know which band to choose.

Genesis/Yes/Rush/Marillion/VDGG&PH/The Flower Kings/Zappa/Änglagård/Wobbler/PFM/Banco/Le Orme/Jethro Tull/Spock's Beard/Transatlantic/Ayreon/Beardfish/IQ/Dream Theater/Opeth/P.Tree/Arena/Camel/Kaipa!
