I agree. I saw and heard Anglagard live at Progfest 94. The best!
You named some other great bands. Par Lindh Project, Anekdoten, and Samla Mannaz Manna.

I'm not going to vote, because there are a lot of good bands from there that are missing like
Pain of Salvation?
Paatos?

Just realised a serious omission: Jens Johnsson - Heavy Machinery, Fission, extensive work with his brother Anders and Jonas Hellborg (and I don't mean with Yngwie Malmsteen or Stratocrapius), two tremendous recorded performances with Bill Berends guesting with Mastermind (i.e. Excelsior, Angel Of the Apocalypse).....................
And as they as touring the UK very soon it is worth mentioning EST!!!

Samla Mammas Manna!!... and its Zamla Mammaz Manna variation, of course, which I find even weirder and better - I am a challenge friendly listener.

I voted Zamla but Samla Mammas Mannas
Snorungarnas Symfoni then Bo Hanssons Lord of
the RIngs then SMMs Klossa Knapitatet or
Ragnaroks debut are the best studio albums from
the 70s!
great and necessary thread, but we cant comment
on Wigwam or Pekka Pohjola from Finland; Aunt
Mary or Host from Norway; Secret Oyster, Thors
Hammer or Klaus Schonning from Denmark!
Besides Bergt Berger from Sweden isnt here
either!
