In second place, just behind my girlfriend. Otherworldly beautiful and talented harpist, pianist, harpsichordist, singer and songwriter Joanna Newsom.

I warmly reccomend her brand new album YS (as well as her debut The Milk Eyed Mender). 

YS is a conceptalbum loosely based on the the same mythological drowned city that Il Balletto de Bronzo using. Five complex songs, nine to seventeen minutes long. She should actually be here on the site. Unique.

Mmmmmmh... my girlfriend gonna be mad when she read this (actually she's in the same room with an eye on the TV and an eye on my screen) but I really think that DIAMANDA GALAS is an amazing woman... dark, doom voice, black hair, with eyes, white skin like she was dead... really beautiful!! and her albums are truly amazing!!!





This last picture is the cover of an album that she did with JP Jones... yep, the same Zepellin former bassist...
