Southern Empire - Another World. Been listening to this a lot and has one of the best epics I've heard this year in White Shadows as well as a couple of melodious short songs Hold Onto Me and Butterfly. These guys can certainly play and manage to chuck in a bit of fusion into the mix just to prove the point! A band that is improving and deserve an audience imo.

I'm really looking forward to that Chronicles Of Father Robin release. I have the 2013 ep which I hope to review in a week or two. This is the first time I've ever preordered an album.
I'll actually be able to contribute to the 2023 Top Albums list. Last year I honestly didn't even have a top 5 worthy of voting for although since then I have picked up some great records from that year. I'm more in tune this year.

I don't think I have a top 5 yet but that Ultraphauna album would surely be there. I think you had posted a Bandcamp link in another thread and that's how I came to hear it. So, thank you. It's great.

I think I now have a top 5.

Poil Ueda - Poil Ueda
La Théorie des Cordes - 4U-9525
ULTRAPHAUNA - No No No No

Can't really get into it, besides a bit of Caravan... Soft Machine just too much for me, What, from the heyday, would you recommend?
