Actually I'm a pretty positive guy. Just realistic. This "Hey no more capt...oh, nevermind" has happened off & on for months now. Hey maybe we'll miss it, like being tortured by enormous church bells. (I don't know what that means either) |

just thank me and the ghosts of the old bad asses of the AR team. He was around then, for you newbies we are merely spoken about in hushed reverential tones.. for the old folks around here.. we were real and were a holy f**king forum terror.
it wasn't till I directly threatened M@X with disappearing and ending up a Jersey backlot never to be found.. that he came off of his ivory tower and started listening to the colloborator's complaints and zapped Captcha... and if it returns M@X.. best sleep with weapon for my goons will be after you.... |

David, do I take it from this that you are a glass half empty man, rather than glass half full? |

A week or 2 ago was the worst captcha/verify/denied craziness I'd ever experienced, now all my posts are just flying through with no problems. Will it last? Oh, the mystery of it all

I'm not getting my hopes up. These temporary reprieves have happened before. I guess we'll see. |

I've notice this as well but didn't want to say anything being afraid that I would jinx it.

Wow - let's hope so! I thought the chances of this ever happening had gone for good though back in mid August after the site was off-line for several days following ongoing SQL injections - none of which the Cloudflare CAPTCHA defenses seemed to be able to stop. Maybe M@X finally came to his senses as a result of this and realized the whole CAPTCHA thing was pointless anyway!

We think it is possible that the site owner might have noticed some discontent amongst the great and the good, and intervened in a positive fashion. |

Am I just dreaming here, or has this monster finally gone back to sleep? Early last week I was getting multiple CAPTCHA challenges one after another before I even got to one with a 'Verify' button (which of course would inevitably lead to an 'Access Denied' error, and thus mean that the process would have to be started all over again). It had become impossible to post with the Chrome browser at all, and only possible with IE11 if I kept it to purely plain text.
These last four or five days have been entirely CAPTCHA-free in both browsers though...and I've included hyperlinks, smiley emoticons, etc which would previously have been gobbled up by the monster and swallowed whole.
Is anyone else noticing this, or am I just on a temporary lucky break with an apparently squeaky clean current IP address? |
