Oddly, I keep forgetting James MacGaw is French, despite his Scottish name. It's confusing. Plus Stella pronounces it in an un-Scottish way.

I'm glad others find Black Oni so damned good. I've been saying it for years but people are genuinely surprised when they find out I'm correct (mostly).
I love the sonic mindwarp on the album. It's a good album to put on to check your new stereo equipment is up to it. I've played it loud at my folks place before and the bassy parts really make the floor vibrate. Plus of course there's the high-pitched parts too. Mmm. Five Suns has some of it too. Mmm. |

Unfortunately, Brian, they're not quite as brilliant.
Five Suns is more Zeuhlish but unfortunately it's just not quite as good as Black Oni. Still worth purchasing though. Elixirs is good too but only a few tracks are similar to their previous work. It's different yet still good. Also try Miasma and the Carousel of Headless Horses. |
