Battle of The Bands.

Some consider this game silly, others lap it up. I personally find it an excellent indicator in regard to what bands are highly regarded in a community and which are frowned upon.

The rules vary but the basic premise is I, as the first poster, pick a small group of bands as the starting list, and then each poster that follows takes 1 point away from one band (KILL) and gives it to another (SAVE). Bands start on 20 points. Bands that reach 40 are considered saved and enter the hall of fame. Bands that reach 0 on the other hand are considered killed and enter the hall of shame.

You can post up to 3 times in a 24 hour period but you must have at least one other poster before you can post again, if you post more than three time within a 24 hour period, your post does not count.

You cannot re-enter bands once they make either the HoF or the HoS.

When you save or kill a band, you also add a new band for the next poster. Just to keep things PA relevant, you can only enter bands that are listed on PA (No Proto Prog or Prog Related acts).

 

I chose the top 10 (currently) most viewed bands in the past 24 hours in PA, to start this game.
