I'm Just Like You - Sly Stone
Kind of interesting to see that Sly was floating about with side projects like how the Beatles were with Apple.
|
He looks at this world and wants it all... so he strikes, like Thunderball!

Sagi, occasionally (or rather more likely frequently!) I tend to get several albums from one artist at the one time, but I force myself to only listen to one or two particular ones and commit to getting familiar with those couple before moving on to another one - definitely what happened in this case!

I think it is, Sam, but I'll no doubt be paying more attention on subsequent spins. Sounded a knockout out an album though.

Tonight's choices: Black Sabbath – s/t Birth Control – Operation Glass Hammer – Ode to Echo Goad – The Silent Moonchild (several times) Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - So I discovered earlier today that despite owning the remastered CD of this album for many years, I had NEVER actually listened to it! I don't quite know why I kind of forgot about it, yet managed to overdose on pretty much every other Sabbath album (including the first two Dio-fronted albums) endlessly!

^ Indeed, very nice production too. It really doesn't seem like a 75 minute album

Kasabian - s/t (One of their songs was playing in my head but I never heard any of their albums before so I was intrigued when I read about TD influences on this album. It's indeed spacey but not progressive although a very nice album with plenty of Mellotron ) Caravan - For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night Radar Men From The Moon - Subversive II Murple - Io Sono Murple Zombi - Shape Shifter Peter Baumann - Machines of Desire LogoS - L'Enigma Della Vita

^ Oh, Dehumanizer is a KILLER album, my fave Dio Sabbath. Love Mob Rules and I don't mind H&H - I don't see what all the fuss is about that album. Born Again was pretty good - Disturbing The Priest is an AWESOME track.
