This is a cool DVD to have. Prices have come down on this item: Amazon now has copies starting at $33.

Quote Presented by Rick Wakeman, this DVD features some of Roger's most famous work, including the paintings which defined the art of record sleeve design and inspired a generation. For this project top musicians were interviewed, including Steve Howe, Ken Hensley, Mick Box and John Wetton, along with Dean himself. Also includes performance footage by Uriah Heep, Asia and Rick Wakeman.

I thnk in his book Views there is a photo of it before he touched it up. I'll check it. I just moved and all my sh*t is everywhere.

I know the feeling. I moved two months ago and my sh*t is still everywhere...
I have moved 5 times and I would say that my s*t is always everywhere until the next move LOL

You missed this one :

When I was a kid I saved the skull of a robin the cat dragged in and actually made a model like this by cutting off the nose section of a Lockheed Starfighter model and attaching the skull. It looked kind of weird because it was not to scale. I used a Starfighter because I couldn't find a model of the SR 71 .

I thnk in his book Views from 1975 there is a photo of it before he touched it up. I'll check it. I just moved and all my sh*t is everywhere. I'm pretty sure it's this one but I'll check

I know they are very feint aren't they. Can you imagine that crytsal clear blue sky before his cat walked over it? he must have been a little  annoyed.

Very feint indeed. I'm telling myself that I can spot them now, but maybe I'm just seeing things...

Dean strikes me as an extremely disciplinary artist, I mean if you're going to paint with that surreal and clean feel to it, you really have to be.
I think he must've flipped out seeing his work molested by paw prints.

I am sure they are clearer in his book "Views". I suspect that they have been digitally doctored since.

One of the paintings in the Yessongs foldout he had to touch up because his cat ran over the canvas and left paw prints. It was almost finished and he didn't want to abandon the work so he incorporated them. have to check it in Views.

You can  see the pwaw prints in fact

You can indeed. He made them into clouds, I always thought that was great.

I didn't know that, are the paws / clouds the dark band running horizontally at the bottom of the 'island' in this painting?

I've heard somewhere that Dean's little logo of that flying craft, which you see inside many albums, was called a 'gorilla' ??
