I would like to reinforce Epignosis' suggestions of Somewhere to Elsewhere and the new edition of Two for the Show. The latter is an excellent collection of early material on two massive 70+ minute disks. The performances and recordings are all top notch. StE certainly ranks at the least as one of their best albums ever. Can't go wrong with either of those.

Judging by the ratings on this site, I'd say your definition of "everyone" is a tad off. |

I agree go to Amazon. I checked real quick and they have almost everything you need. They also have what is called The Amazon Marketplace. These prices are listed below the amazon price as new and used. Plus you can find some really good deals on new copies that are less than 10.00 These places are also rated by Amazon customers and are very reliable from my experience. I have aquired lots of good deals on the Marketplace.
Good Luck!!
I forgot. Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?field-keywords=kansas&url=search-alias%3Dpopular# Edited by Darklord55 - September 15 2011 at 16:44 |

I'd like to make contact with them too. But it's all good. We got a bigger TV for $50. |

I was going to suggest that she contact the people that stole your TV and laptop and have them stop by and pick up your Kansas collection for her.

Hello Nicole. Welcome to the site. First of all, I'd recommend getting rid of the kid. We had a 4 year old once who tried to eat my Leftoverture CD. He is now in Malaysia somewhere. I think. Seriously, I do not know of any way to acquire everything in one go except for auction sites (ebay, etc.). I have all of Kansas' albums, but I acquired them one by one over time. And I got lucky getting Vinyl Confessions at a very cheap price. So here are some suggestions: This is Kansas' reunion album that came out in 2000. It is, in my opinion, their greatest work ever. A new version of the live album Two for the Show just came out a year or so ago, and it features two discs and an attractive booklet with great photos. This is an excellent DVD featuring a great set list and the band in 2002. I could have been at the taping of this in Atlanta, but did not have $200 for a seat. Proto-Kaw is an older version of Kansas that reunited decades later. Excellent stuff. They have three albums and a CD of older material: This, as the title says, is early recordings from Kansas before they became the famous Kansas. If you need further recommendations, I am happy to help. |

Kansas has a lot of albums and I'm about 90% sure they never released a box set or anything that included all of their stuff... honestly Amazon is probably your best bet but new copies of the albums will probably still be between 10-15 dollars apiece and "Vinyl Confessions" is out of print. Sorry I can't be more helpful but if you're still undeterred you can find a list of Kansas' albums here:

Hi everyone! My name is Nicole and my three-year-old son loves to get into our CD cabinet and pull them all out. Now that he’s getting smarter and stronger he has learned how to open the cases and take the CDs out which as you can imagine, has damaged quite a few. My husband got pretty upset because one of his favorite Kansas CDs is wrecked. Anyways, our anniversary is coming up and I want to surprise him with maybe all of Kansas’s work? Since I know that’s one of his favorite artists. Its just an idea but I know nothing about rock music so I was wondering if anyone could suggest where I could buy that for a reasonable price? |
