I only wish I could play like her. With the keys I can battle her, but playing the foot pedals at the same time is over my head. |

Go to her homepage http://www.bebabrecords.com/de/index.php and click on "CD's" for a list of her records with with other labels and on "BeBab Records" for a list of records on her own lable. For records on which she appears as guest musician go to http://www.bebab-jazz.de/ . If you have real-player installed, you can listen to excerpts from some of her extraordinary stuff on her homepage. Oh, and any "bass" playing you think you hear on these excerpts is done with the foot pedals, at the same time as she plays the keyboards. Her footwoork is amazing. And here a few hot pics of her (she is not only a great player, she is beautiful as well). Edited by BaldFriede |

Hey, Gaston! I was just typing in Chick Corea and Bill Bruford....I'll have to give you a cyber punch on the arm - do they do that in Canada, too? When two people say the same thing at the same time you have to give the other a punch in the arm.

Barbara Dennerlein (heavily modified Hammond B3) plays duos with Daniel Messina (drums). Those duos are more like trios though, since Barbara also provides bass lines with her foot pedals. She has an amazing technique for the foot pedals. Unsurpassed in that field. |

On 2nd thought, why not name Barbara Dennerlein as keyboarder? She plays fusion, but she also gives concerts on church organs. And she really makes them swing. Who would believe "Satisfaction" by the Stones would work on church organ? And Barbara Dennerlein has one big advantage compared to other keyboarders: She doesn't need a bass player, since she plays a fantastic bass herself with her foot pedals. It is really something to see her live on stage.
