they wouldn't even belong here if it was a metal site. Metallica voluntarily gave up the right to be talked about as serious music-makers at about the same time U2 did.

metallica only have a few prog tracks. Call of ktulu, orion, To Live is to Die, One, And Justice For All, Master of Puppets. Thas about it. It could be argued that MOP and AJFA are prog metal albums but everything else is standard metal.

I suppose it's not obviously 'prog' in the same way that for example, Neu, Genesis, Yes, Till, Crimson, ELP, Dream Theatre, etc are. It's hard as there has to be a line in the sand drawn somwhere I think.
