Good pics, nice quality too, hehe.

Yeah, the colours aren't quite original, but who cares? My bro used to played violin when we live in England, for school. Now he plays piano, and has fully developed it, hehe.

I have a black violin, but I mostly prefer playing the viola (neither is my main instrument, both are cheap student models).

Most of my attempts to play either with a loud rock band has been disastrous for lack of good monitoring, especially in the case of the viola which is a bit quieter. How do you folks deal with this? I really need to be able to hear myself to change positions accurately.

xD It would be brutal, but it would throw off the school spirit thing. The school colors are black and red man, sorry. Lol but in all seriousness, I love the red it looks even nicer in person.

You didn't get black and red for school colors. You just happened to like it.
Idk, My BFF Steve.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Cool! It's a very underapreciated instrument, IMO. It's also a very cool instrument to play. Just thunk(hehe, MADTV) about it:

-Hey what instrument you play?
-I play an electric guitar, you?
-A violin
-Well, dude, you become part of the COOL gang now. Congrats!

I own one - got it for my birthday three months ago - still got the finger-position tape stuck on and I still need them there (ergo - crass beginner).

I got a cheap electric one (metallic purple) because a) it looks cool and b) I thought it would be silent so I could practise without scaring the cats - wrong! and c) it looks really cool. So, yes - I'd love to see pix pf your violin Big%20smile

Now of course there are countless topics about guitar, but I figured I'd bring up another instrument I play..

That is, of course, the violin. Ive been playing for about 6 years now [although I'll admit I should be MUCH better, I wasn't exactly practicing all that time]. After about 5 and a half years of playing a piece of junk violin worth about $90, I decided I was ready to step it up and commit time to the violin, so I bought a new one. Only this time an electric violin, which set me back about $500. It's a beautiful red and black fade color with a red bow, and sounds very nice. If anyone is interested in seeing pictures of it, please say so, I was thinking of taking some pictures anyway.

So are there any other violin players here?
