I really dig this set. No need for Song Remains the Same after this album came out. I too bought the DVDs also. Very great material.

Being a very devoted Zeppelin fan, I picked up "How the West Was Won" the first day it was availabe, and I agree with you that it is an amazing performance they captured in California and the audio quality is excellent.

I was surprised

I bought them both (CD and DVD) simultaniously. Indeed both are fenomenally great albums. costed me some 90 euro, but not a stuiver was wasted on this

I bought this awhile back, and still think it is one of, if not the greatest live albums produced.  The three disc set is taken from Zep's performances and the LA Forum in either 72 or 73, I think.  The songs are edited to sound like one whole
