Also, a couple of Facebook posts from Clockwork Angels co-author Kevin J. Anderson:

For those of you NOT lucky enough to be at Rushcon, I made an announcement this afternoon about an anthology of Rush-based stories I'll be coediting with John McFetridge for ECW (publishers of Clockwork Angels). We have a gang of award-winning and bestselling authors already lined up to contribute stories based on Rush songs. And I'll be doing a novella called "2113".

Kevin J. Anderson announces: sequel to Clockwork Angels The Novel: Clockwork Lives. Co-written by Neil Peart. He is now reading top secret excerpts.

What are your thoughts on the Rush R40 Anniversary Box Set?  http://www.rush.com/r40-40th-anniversary-collectors-box-set-available-in-dvd-blu-ray/

I have all of the Live Concerts on either Blu-ray or DVD so have no use for other copies, but I am intrigued by the previously unreleased concert footage.

After reading the Rush synth thread I just did a binge on Signals thru Presto (ok, I expanded it a bit!)  :p

Phenomenal songs, phenomenal musicianship! Thumbs Up

It's a stellar album and Vapor Trails similarly blew my socks off (especially after the long gap between T4E and it).

The '80s are the best overall decade for Rush, IMO!

Rush 80's is my bag indeed.

I usually do it in December around Christmas time. I don't know why, but it the kind of music I love. And need to hear over the holidays. Besides. Whenever I binge on Rush its impossible for me to just listen to one album from them in a day. I gotta do 3. :)

Fantastic amazing 80's work.

Yeah, I hear you. It's hard to just listen to one Rush album a day. I seem to go through several Rush phases each year.

Bump.

I just got back from a trip to Wyoming for camping and climbing. I listened to the Rush discography from front to back (skipping their debut). It was pretty great.

You guys ever hear this? Pay attention to the chord just after the 1 minute mark. What's it sound like to you?

it does sound similar to that main motif from the album, i mean this was released the year before that album.

While that's right up there, I've always liked Grand Designs and Territories a bit more. Of course, the whole albums amazing and is one of my favorite Rush albums (behind Grace Under Pressure).

Indeed. Power Windows is my favorite post Moving Pictures album.

I have to echo the love for Emotion Detector.  The Clockwork Angels Tour would have been a great opportunity to pull it out of the vaults.
