Mosh, I'd surely prefer you not to respond to my posts. Why do you have to do it all the time, am I such an important person for you. Admin, please consider this matter, and I see much personal attacks in it. Edited by David_D - September 13 2024 at 07:38 |

Hi, This is not a "cover" and in many ways it says it all about music appreciation ... you don't like "covers" so you will never catch a real concert and go listen to Beethoven, Mozart, Bach ... it doesn't matter who, because your idea of purity is sad ... really sad! You can't catch Mozart flirting in a bar and playing with his hands under his legs! And probably using his third leg, too! (Well, unless someone puts it in a movie for you!) What Rachel Flowers did, FIRST (way before this one!) is magnificent, as this piece is ... and in the end, having the ability to hear MUSIC, and appreciate how it was done, is what it all has been about for many centuries ... except for you, I wonder?

^ And I haven't been considering the stylistic aspect of it, as I haven't listen to this cover. In general, I don't like covers, and especially not of great classics I care much about.

Maybe "section" is not the right word, but it should be "lounge". Anyway, I'd certainly find it more appropriate to place this thread in Prog Bands, Artists and Genres Appreciation or Prog Recommendations/Featured albums . |

@ Frets N Worries, I'm not a moderator, but I don't understand why such an experienced member like you place a thread in such a wrong section. Not like it matters that much, I just think that it's some unnecessary mess.

personally, I find it interesting for the fact that he's playing in two different time signatures during Apocalypse 9/8. Left hand doing 9/8, and right doing 4/4

Around 21:50 appears in the lower left corner a small doll (back view) wearing a red dress .. Is it a coincidence or a reference to the cover art of the album Foxtrot? Edited by mellotronwave - September 01 2024 at 13:52 |

It seems to be widely recommended to prog enthusiasts. My favorite part is probably his facial expressions during Apocalypse in 9/8.

Hi, This rivals Rachel Flowers doing TARKUS on the piano ... I find TARKUS more interesting as it comes off as a piano concerto, though I think that SUPPER'S READY is more of a collection of songs ... still very nice, and I, for one, appreciate folks taking a classical look at many of these pieces ... it tells you how valuable and important a lot of the music was ... much more than just mere songs! AND I hope that many of us wake up to the most valuable and important inspiration for what we went on to call "progressive music" ... it's not about the songs since this was not exactly very commercial at the start.

Had this video recommended to me on YouTube earlier. It's just what the title says, a full on solo piano cover of the entirety of Supper's Ready. This is one of the greatest things I've heard.
