let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

The thread title says 10 prog albums, having non-prog in there is cheating, also (in theory) off topic.

Here I was wrecking my brain to come up with 10 worthy albums. I failed (there are three prog-related entries). Ouch

Hi,

Even though I no longer really pay attention to Rajah, I am specially in tune with this album and his next one. If you were from Southern California, this album resonated really big, and you remember a lot of that stuff and what "radio" became, and what (eventually) was determined to be called the "rape of American FM radio" by the corporate structure ... it was then, the beheading of the free form FM radio!

Bill Bruford's Earthworks is a treat for everyone, and I am appalled that PP is not familiar with it.

(drunken voice and stoned immaculate) ... methings he is listening to too much swiftie stuff ...

U2's album also deserves a great mention. They were well known by then, but not as huge as they became when that album exploded in the scene.

Ryuichi Sakamoto's album "Neo Geo" is very good (also has Iggy on it), but not on par with "Beauty" and "Heartbeat" which are by very far his craziest and most entertaining albums! Even PP might have a hard time with these two albums.

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

^ Unlucky for some. None of those albums on your list ring any bells, so it could take some time for me to compile a Prog Top 10 from whatever Slim Pickens there are for this year. Smile
