The first two King Crimson albums do very little for me - it's not for lack of musicianship but simply boring writing of Fripp's part.  it's not until Lizard and especially Islands that Fripp begins to come into his own composition-wise, just wish the initial lineup had been around to record both those LPs......ahhh, one can only imagine.  
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

I've got an idea. I'm not happy about much Pop-influenced Prog, but I don't think, it's a secret at this point of time.

My embarrassing opinion is that Genesis have never done better than Trespass, that is a little masterpiece of melodic prog rock.

Basically, they are a group of tremendously serious and competent but also tremendously boring musicians... particularly Banks.

Peter Gabriel, alone, starting from III and up to.... Up, did better than Genesis.

My favourite track from Split Enz - Mental Notes is the pop song "Maybe". This was the track I first heard on the radio and introduced me to the group. In spite of all the prog on the album, I still love this track the most.
