it is... the wifey and I live down in ol' Virginia. As vets of the east coast festival circuit, the bands are only part of the appeal. To be honest, the headliners have zero appeal to us but our tastes are more those cutting edge than having any interest in groups like Echolen or Glass Hammer, we have Rosfest to scratch to itch of the light in the loafers side of traditional symphonic prog.
However the appeal is much for discovering the unknowns, or supporting the lesser known but frickin great groups like The Tea Club and 3RDegree but it as much for the social side, and yeah Roxie and Dukes had a intimate appeal, with a fully stocked bar and cute waitresses who remembered your name even when you hadn't been there in a year (well I am a big tipper hahah). Not to mention both Raff and I thought that was a really pretty area of NJ. We enjoyed the drive, and I always love playing the Sopranos theme in my head once we get up there. Imaging my smoking a stoggie and driving some decked out SUV and plotting whose knees I was going to break haha.

yeah true that... I remember you got up to use the restroom at the risk of losing your seat. Shame though.. loved that place. Real character.. great staff...
Well they still have concerts in that venue-plenty of good ones but perhaps it's at too far a distance to see a non-festival show there?

This is AWESOME news!! Is the line up complete or is there room for more?
All filled up but later this year we will go through submissions to see who's out there and interested. I think we've proved the point that there are so many great bands out there vying for a good live show with the amount of requests we've received since announcing just hours ago.

To be honest, Roxy & Dukes is probably the reason there is no Homecoming anymore. It wasn't big enough, nice enough and accommodating enough an area for a big yearly turnout imho.
