At the end of the day, I don't understand the 2012 Bengals. Their offense started strong at the beginning despite 3 of the 5 guys on the O-line being rookies or guys who had never started a professional game before, and their defense was terrible. They end the season in the wild card round with a defense that (for the most part) kept them in the game and an offense that was a whopping 0/9 on 3rd down conversions.
Like I said on Facebook though, this team desperately needs another WR since it appears Gresham isn't going to be that big second weapon for Dalton, and an ILB and safety to really shore up that secondary and the middle of the field, which has been pretty questionable as of late. I guess I'm just back to rooting against the Pats at this point.

Kinda like the whole "this country is better than this one" and "this country sucks" cities are cities.
I havn't been to one I didn't personally like: NYC, Philly, Boston, Baltimore, Chicago, Toronto, Pittsburgh. It's about the people, ya know? And finding the places/things to do. Granted, it's non debate NYC is the best city on Earth but that can't be helped
I really don't see how. Really, how hard is it to hand the ball off and throw it 2 yards to the tight end? And Webb is more scrambly. Edit: oh wow, Green Bay can't stop anyone running! Hoping for a great game. Edited by JJLehto - January 05 2013 at 19:13 |

Lived in both cities, Baltimore and Pittsburgh. I have fond memories of both, both blue collar towns, crabs in one (the good kind) and keilbasa/perogies in the other. Baltimore is more dense in population while Pitts is a little more rural. Love the Pittsburgh Aviary and Carnegie, very cool as well as the Baltimore Aquarium and inner harbor.
Vikings without Ponder may be a bit too much to overcome. Congrats to the Texans, I thought they would lose the way they ended the season.

Pittsburgh actually is a very nice city, been there 3 times and it's fine. I was actually surprised at how "city like" it was and not abandon factories and blue collar rectangular guys walking around, as the stereotype is.
Which is why I never bought the "we are arrogant because the Stillers are all we have" excuse. The fans wanna live in the stereotype of their city from the 70s They are indeed. Most teams hire people to fire them...and throw em out at the first sign of dirt. The best teams over history have been ones with a tendency to keep people/treat them well: The Steelers, Packers, Giants, and yes the Pats. Well, Bengals played a great defensive game but momentum kept slowly rolling for the Texans. Their D woke up and played like we expected totally pwnd Andy and co. Lets go Vikings! Bengals/Texans been a nice defensive game, love it!
Looks like Ponder has been declared ineligible, Joe Webb now has to lead the team. Not sure how big a deal it is, the team is AP anyway, with ponder throwing dinkers/to the tight end. I think Webb can handle that |

I honestly have wondered that exact sentiment. I can recall MoM saying a positive thing about Jamaal Charles, that is it. Literally the only non stiller player ever I recall And I thought I was a generally hatred filled cantankerous b*****d! He makes me look like a kid in a candy store with a million dollars. Anywho, obviously rooting for the Seahawks over the skins, and all the underdogs: AP, erm I mean Minnesota, Cincy, and...well IDK who's actually favored in Indy over Baltimore, and though I like the Ravens the fan in me must be mad at their beatdown of us soo go Indy! |

sorry for the delay.... Just like I said. AP will dominate and stop about 5 yards short of the record and Minn. will go to the playoffs! Congrats to you for picking the week 17 Viikings-Pack game correctly... The first round picks: Texans Ravens Packers Redskins I see you picked Seattle, fair enough. Just don't forget they won two games by hail Mary's & replacement ref blown calls. They are a 9-7 team. Yes, RGII played poorly vs Pitt, but Wash has Garcon back and they are 9-1 with Garcon. |

Partly because RG3 is a lot better than Cam. |

Pittsburgh is no more racist than any large urban area in America. It is not as dirty as it once was. It has wonderful museums and some really beautiful city parks. And let us not forget this......
The rule is named for Dan Rooney, the owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the chairman of the league's diversity committee, and indirectly the Rooney family in general, due to the Steelers' long history of giving African Americans opportunities to serve in team leadership roles. The Rooneys are a class act.

I am probably the only Panthers fan on the board and, althouhg they closed out the season pretty strong (5-1 of the last 6), I was disappointed again at the unfulfilled potential of the Newton/Smith/Williams combo to close the deal on enough games to win their division. I was hoping that what happened w/ RG3 and the Redskins (my other team) is what would happen when Cam Newton joined the Panthers...sadly, it has yet to happen. Maybe if Cam wasn't such a brat...

^^^^^^^
I've been there MoM,and Pittsburgh is just as bad as you perceive Baltimore to be.A dirty, depressed city with rampant unemployment and probably one of the most racist areas I have ever encountered in the US,and I spent a lot of time down south when I first joined the Army.

I'm slightly disappointed. I thought he'd die on the field, mid tackle at like age 58.
Oh well. I imagine ome day he'll come back as a coach in ba;timore.
