May sound funny coming from this forum...but music is really not an issue to me.
Other things may take precedent LOL

I can tolerate most music anyway, and if I get a cute girl I love I'll even listen to rap/country/pop! Shocked

And for music fans dating a non-nutbag, the issue  that might occur is when your partner realised you listen to music all the damn time. Example, the first time you spend the night and realise that person plays loud music even when it's time to sleep... Confused

Wait, are you the one who plays loud music while sleeping or the other person?  I've never done that...the closest I've gotten is headphones on nights my neighboring frat decides to party.

Luckily then, I don't play music that often.  I don't even have any on now.  The last music I listened to was two days ago.

There's no need for them to find out yet.  Get to know them better first.  Decide if you prefer one over the other (or not at all, if that is the case; not everyone is suitable) and then work from it from there.  Chances are, they'll likely ask about your music tastes at some point unless they're not really into music, of course.

Oh, I don't plan to play her any Magma unless she asks to hear it.  Heard OF =/= heard, after all, and I really wouldn't like to scare her off right away.
