I usually listen through headphones just out of courtesy to my neighbors.  But if my ears start to hurt from no one wearing them then I'll just play through my laptop speakers but I like to be immersed in my music.

But the other post was different.  It wasn't exactly the same.

As I said on the previous page; I'm a private listener of music as well.  In fact, I virtually always listen to music on headphones, due to the neighbours partly and secondly because I don't own a proper stereo.  In the car, I blast it really loud though.  Although when I have passengers, I either turn it right down, or pause it.  My mate Dave likes some of the same music as me though, so he's the one exception.

The rare occasion my parents went out when I was living there, I used to blast something out loud on the stereo but they almost always came back just before the end and tell me to turn it down.

Grrr.
