^ Oh yes, good call on the post-rock. Post rock qualities with some free jazz thrown in.

^ Before reading your comment, I saw the boy image of the video, and Village of the Damned's iconic poster came to my mind. Hahah...
Good stuff. A bit like post-rock'ish, sound wise. Sort of a song that can be used to warm people to prog rock. |

^^ She has a terrific voice.
As for the earlier mentioned Kuunatic I love it. This is a jazz-fusion/ jazz rock one I recently got into and mentioned in a topic about 2016 music. Superb album, I think Niechęć - Widzenie That child looks so much like one of my brothers when he was small, and reminds of children in Village of the Damned which was adapted from The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham (thinking the original film from 1960, not the one from 1995). I very recently re-listened to a radio play of the novel, but I digress. Edited by Logan - November 12 2021 at 09:50 |

This Turkish lady seems to have gotten some real attention in Germany.
As a Turk, I can say that this is a very emotional and heartfelt performance; and as a singer, I can say this is technically flawless. Well done! |

Discovered them on Bandcamp recently. Really good psych. Three ladies from Tokyo (or from another planet).

Glad some of you enjoyed Kadhja Bonet! I heartily reccommend the whole Childqueen-album (plus the Childqueen outtakes EP - and her debut for that matter - all stunning). This is something else. An egyptian band from the early 1980's whose only cassette release was disovered - or stumble upon a few years ago, and gotten its re-release on Habibi Funk. Really one of a kind and wonderful: -gotta say I've listened to plenty of great new stuff in this thread!
