None, although pears are common in Brasil. But i meant the best are from there - açai, cajú, pitanga, graviola, cupuaçu, goiaba, papaya, lima da persia (excellent for caipirinhas), etc. - i.e., my country wins by a margin... Regarding the others, i know well Brasil's pears but enjoy much more the argentinian Grapefruits, especially that ones with the inside color somewhat violet like.

Maybe melons are boring, but who needs to degrade the nutritional value of whole fruit by cooking it into something? Also Midori is great even if it is a lie And if you are ok with adding massive amounts of granulated sugar, these are probably the greatest things to ever grace my flavor buds

Not allowed grapefruit and don't like pears unless they're made into perry, however melons are the most boring fruit in the whole world ever.
Out of idle curiosity I searched online for melon recipes and thought I was about to proven wrong when I found a site that proudly proclaimed: "Melons make a refreshing, healthy snack on a hot summer day—and they're also very versatile. Here are nine fresh and tasty things to do with melons" ... but alas no: - Melon soup ... this is cubes of raw melon blended to a pulp
- Melon salsa ... this is cubes of raw melon as a salad
- Melon kebabs ... this is cubes of raw melon on a stick
- Melon salad ... this is cubes of raw melon as a salad (see 2)
- Edible fruit bowls ... this is cubes of raw melon served in a hollowed out melon
- Starter salad ... this is cubes of raw melon as a salad (see 2 and 4, but in smaller portions)
- Melon smoothie ... this is cubes of raw melon blended to a pulp (see 1)
- Sparkling melon punch ... this is cubes of raw melon blended to a pulp with some fizzy wine (see 1)
- Easy melon appetiser ... this is slices (ooh! that's different) of raw melon with some ham on a stick (see 3)
(I do have a tenth suggestion, but I don't think it is anatomically possible).
So basically, you can eat it raw or you can blend it to a pulp and drink it. No other variety of fruit offers up such limited ways of consuming them - you can't cook with them, you can't bake with them you can't use them as an ingredient in something and most surprising of all, you can't make alcoholic beverages out of them... and don't say Midori, that is not made from melon, it is flavoured with melon...

Voted for muskmelons. If there were the "other" choice, then I would have picked citrus except grapefruit. Grapefruit tastes like something that a person shouldn't consume. Hell, maybe that's what transmission fluid tastes like.

Pears are more like two and a half stars, and grapefruits and muskmelons for "Collectors/fans only". |

^ I've tried avos on many occasions and I just can't warm to them, bland city, even as guacamole, or with chicken, or lemon and pepper. Does nothing for me.
If we ever get into exotic fruits, there's several hideous types in existence - the Durian is one of them.........puke-fest.....

Recently I've taken a particular liking to avocados. It is the most savory of fruits. Not even a hint of the usual sweetness or tartness we think of fruits delivering. I love the texture and how they melt in your mouth.

Out of the choices offered, I'd go pears, then grapefruit, then melons. Honeydews are alright; I will eat but not enjoy cantaloupe.
I like blood oranges.
