I also think lyrics are the most important component to a song, especially prog lyrics becuase their not all about "boy meets girl" they are deep. -Colin Meloy -Ian Anderson -Peter Hammill -Peter Gabriel -Neil Peart -Roger Waters -Peter Sinfield -Jon Anderson

maudlin of the Well and Kayo Dot have some of the most beautiful, poetic lyrics around.
Some others would be Layne Staley, Maynard James Keenan, and Steve Wilson.
