I bought  the Trespass album In Haze Of Time and have been very pleased with it ever since .Good musicians ! If their new album is in the same style I'll have to add it to my collection.

Raya,

Any idea of when Trespass will issue a second album? Can you ask Gil next time you see him?

Well... dropforge is right.. but you should listen to the album anyway. I do like it.. And they sound much better live. They are changing the tracks and and the sound of each and one of them..Evolving... I personally like it very much :)

Trespass is a very solid trio. Very good players, and Gil Stein (IIRC his name correctly) is proving to be one of the next great symph-prog type keyboardists. The problems I have with In Haze Of Time are 1) Gil's vocals are okay, but his lyrics aren't; and 2) the songs are all 'samey-sounding,' they have the same feel, share many of the same keys and tempos, and Gil's soloing, while very precise and muscular, lacks some character. I'm looking forward to their sophomore CD, because I'm sure these topics will be addressed.

jester789,

This may be a late addition to your thread, but I would be interested to know your opinion of the Trespass album In Haze Of Time.

The MP3 of the track with the same name from that album is good. Are the other tracks just as good?

I'm no good with explanations. You could always show me a picture though.

Or draw a diagram.

Sheshet is an israeli super-group of very fine musicians that later became the core of israeli mainstream (much like yes and genesis in the rest of the world). Their album is a culmination of great talent, inspiration and luck. Great compositions, influenced mainly by Gentle Giant, Canterbury and Chick Corea, performed with lots of grace and feeling. Really great stuff.

Listen to "Inbalim" : http://stevehegede.tripod.com/sheshet.ram

Buy it here : https://www.jazzis.com/shop/shop_frames.asp

It's filed under Progressive Rock, in the letter "S"

Ktzat Aheret (a.k.a No-Names) is a trio with a more avant-garde edge. They share the same flutist as Sheshet (Shem-Tov Levy). The compositions are more abstract and "out there", not as optimistic but still have lots of humor. Less lyrics than sheshet, with a more "dirty" approach to arrangement. Also - really great :-)

Listen to "The Echo" : http://stevehegede.tripod.com/nonames.ram

Buy it here : https://www.jazzis.com/shop/shop_frames.asp

It's filed under Progressive Rock, in the letter "N" for "No-Names"

I personally recommend you to listen to all the new prog bands which I listed above. They are as exciting as the good old bands, if not more IMO.

I've been recommended five bands, three of which are on your list. Unfortunately, it is the two others I'm most interested in. On your list I found Zingale, Atmosphera and Danny Ben-Israel, but I couldn't find Ktchat Aret and Sheshet. The latter's selftitled album from 1977 (re-published in 1994) is from what I have heard just marvellous. Maybe you know something more about it?

Well actually it's a good idea, but the israeli album covers are not that special imo. They won't look good in the background. But i can add a section where i'll put the covers, and if availabe, where to buy it, and maybe reviews!

I will wait to hear your opinion :)

JUST ONE QUESTION JESTER:,you have album covers of bands such as Gentle Giant and Marrillion in the background on your site, would it not be better to have the album covers of Isreali bands instead, in keeping with the theme i personally would really like to see that!! By the way i am in the process of listening to some tracks now,i will let you know my opinion a bit later!!
