Torn between De-loused and Amp, but gotta choose the latter. Been listening to it a lot.

Amputechture, they have done what I hoped they would on this album.

I just find FTM only slightly better than De-Loused. I will purchase the new one in a day or so.

AMputechure hasn't passed deloused in my opinion just yet. Maybe after a few listens it will, but as of now, Deloused by far

How you can make a judgement like that after one day of having it is beyond me. Deloused, for me, is by far their best album. I think their "punk" sound fits them more aptly and works much better for them than say "Viscera Eyes" which is a decent but not really entertaining attempt at being Pink Floyd.

Frances the Mute gets my vote. When I really concentrated and listened
to it in detail, I finally realised its status as a masterpiece.

I am not sure how long the average poster has been listening to ampuctechture, but I have listened to it three times through, and I thing you are crazy to put it above Deloused in the Comatorium.
Deloused is a masterpiece.

Wow, I can't believe Amputechture has such a lock on this. I'm just
giving it my first listen so I'll wait to vote, but disregarding
Amputechture I'd pick Frances The Mute.

Deloused for me. Not a hard choice since it's the only release I have and have heard from them. I will definitely be buying their two other studio albums though. It took a few spins to get into them and I like them more and more with each spin.

Amputechture, and not cause it just came out (had it for some time now, gonna buy it tomorrow) or because im some hardcore TMV freak; i do enjoy them quite a bit. however i chose their latest because after re-listening to their catalouge thus far, Amputechture has just overall better material and shows a very good direction for the band. at first few listens it overwhelmed me, i heard good parts here and there but i didnt understand the connections in each song, except Viscera Eyes, i got into that one right away. now i that i understand the album, it's just a monster of an album and is definitly essential, which i dont think too many albums these days are, unfortunately.

I've only heard Amputechture once since I bought it earlier today. Maybe when I give it some more listens I'll make my vote.

I accidently voted Amputecture when I meant to vote for Deloused.
The new album is far from perfect, but I love the direction they're going in. If they continue to make songs as great as "Day Of The Baphomets", their next album could be their masterpiece.

They had quite a lot of brass on Frances too (Miranda and Cassandra in particular ).
De-loused suffers from a slight "sameness" problem - it's soometimes hard for me to distinguish a song from another. It's cohesive and a convincing punch in the face, but it's not as multitextured as the following two.
I've listened to Amputechture pretty intensely and... yes, it's... it's extremely good, I mean... it's everything you would expect and more, and it can either give you a headache or leave you mesmerized and wanting to hear it again and again (or both). But I just can't seem to like it as much as Frances.
Songs like "Meccamputechture" and "Viscera Eyes" and even "Tetragrammaton" after a while are a bit too linear, which can become observable after a few listens. Not much chord variation or rhythm changes in them, although they add layers and layers of things by the end of the song. I see that as a small fault of the album, whereas in my book Frances is the perfect example of an album that is anything but linear.
Right now, Frances has literally everything I can dream I want to listen to in the course of one album, so I choose it as my favourite. Still, Amputechture is definitely the best of 2006 so far and a wonderful experience to have.
