Maneige and Opus 5, along with Dionne-Bregent. Harmonium seems lame and overrated to me.

I've recently relistened to Morse Code (including the two Transmission albums), and I was rather underwhelmed, especially with the shorter (overtly) commercial tracks.
Too bad there is no live recordings to be released, either.
TBH, most of the lyrics in their classis three albums are handled by someone outside the band (Robitaiile for two albums) and they're not that good either..

The one I prefer is MCT2, right now!!

Pollen. Et Cetera and Morse Code not far behind. I've said this before, but the moon is a big dope and the wind is going through the same as a big box of wind.

Miriodor would be my pick but Harmonium from the list. So many great bands on this list though.
I also like Vos Voisins, Indiscipline and Nathan Mahl.

Which one? IMHO all of them are just as good. Whether I consider L'Heptade or 5 Saisons to be their magnum opus depends on my mood on that particular time of day. xd

Has anybody mentioned Mystery yet? A great prog-lite band from Quebec.

Out of these it's Sloche, but I would have voted for Rouge Ciel if they were an option.

Harmonian seemed like bland folk from the stuff I’ve heard so far. Opus 5 may have the greatest album from Quebec I think
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Québecois Prog Is The Best  ApproveWink

Harmonium is the most famous but I think Sloche,Offenbach and L'Orchestre Sympathique are the bests

Maneige, followed closely by Harmonium, then Pollen, then it's hard to pick.
