Okay if Dark Side Of The Moon wasn't here i'd take Infernal Machina. It will be interesting to see how this turns out though as many have gotten tired of this FLOYD album.

Yeah, i'm kind of tired of Dark Side.
I chose Mirage, which is my fave Schulze solo album second only to Moondawn. |

Fear of the Number Thirteen. (Triskaidekaphobie). A truly inspired work. I've just been re-listening to it a bit lately and I like it better than ever now.
Really like the TD album too, up there near their best IMO. Dark Side is still an amazing album, though all the extra singers and saxophones kind of makes it the least Floyd Floyd album, if that makes sense. Quite a huge work, but a big share of the credit goes to the technical aspect (recording, production) rather than the four guys singing with their instruments. Though I've decided that "Time" contains my favorite Floyd guitar solo. That Zamla album is one I just acquired in the last couple of days but haven't listened to yet!

I don't know the PT, and it's not an easy choice between several of these. Ultimately, after some not-so-careful consideration it's between
Le Poison qui Rend Fou and Mirage for me. I'm going with the poison that makes insane.

It is probably the Brain Damage speaking but I have to side with Darth Vader on this one.

Triskaidekaphobie, that debut is totally amazing. Promenade is, and has been for several months, my favorite piece of rock music, so this wasn't too tough.
For me though, there are 7-8 4+ star albums here. Good list! Edited by SaltyJon - January 21 2013 at 21:33 |

This is a stunningly good list, fortunately for me Ceux du Dehors is my favorite album of all-time so that gets my vote.
If that wasn't on the list it'd be a crap shoot between all the others except Jannick & PT, probably:- UZ > Zamla > TD > TP > Schulze > Present > PF But who the hell knows.

Here's my dilemna!! I rate PT's `Signify' as not only the band's best album, but one of the best examples of outstanding modern progressive rock. But Present's `Le Poison Qui Rend Fou' is in my top 5 prog albums of all time. The manical playing, the sinister sound, the maddening repetition, one of the most chilly, hypnotic and addictive albums I've ever come across. Much to my office work-mate's dismay, I play it in my office all the time too! ![]() The skull cover is just the cats pajamas as well! ![]() Present the 2nd gets my vote. |

A very strong list. The only one I don't know is Mirage.
I think I'm going to vote for Triskaidekaphobie. Even though I strongly associate it with Le...Fou it stands higher in my mind (even though Fou is also fantastic). UZ and Top would round out my top three.

Dark Side gets bashed way too much IMO, It's one of the top albums of all time for a reason.
Rubycon would be my 2nd choice. It's awesome.
