From the front page and a review of Relayer by Retrovertigo

"A slight breath of air away from Tales From Topographic Oceans, Relayer is still a dense and atmospheric record, and the overall conglomeration of sound in this album makes it distinct to other albums. However, the album seems to carry an uninspring tone throughout it's entirety. It's more of a meandering album, more heavy on melodic exploration and freedom. It's an intriguing concept, especially when thrown into decently coherent structure, and it's definitely something different, but it just doesn't grab you."

Nice Start to the review and i accept your right to an opinion retrovertigo. However please say it just doesn't grab me....... not as you have stated....grab You!

This album certainly grabs me, it may just be a syntax error on your part but it is an important distinction as Relayer i believe is a classic album from the opening chords to the last bar and to the perfect Roger Dean album cover and i am quite happy if you don't get it.

I suspect that Retrovertigo used the word "you" in the collective sense of "one". It's an acceptable word - not a syntax error - and I agree with the sentiment.

Fair point but as Retrovertigo is not blissed out on post CTTE  Yes i'd rather he strayed from the collective and singled himself out as such and not collectively involve us....if you know what i mean. However for one so hard of hearing he does write a considered review.

It grabs me . The problem with "simplification" of language is it often makes it much harder to understand (bring back "thou" and "you", I say! )
