My buddy just got a guitar with one. He's moving in to my house in November so I'll have an opinion then. XD

Well, if Dirty Old Len uses one...

I'm just starting to figure how to use a Yahmaha QY100 sequencer.  It has an onboard mini keyboard that isn't velocity sensitive.  Very compact and also works on batteries.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Today I saw a secondhand one on sale for £50 - should I go for it?  It'd suit my music very well, but I could manage without.  Couldn't I?  What to do, what to do...

I never played with one but I mentioned about them in my blog article about instruments frequently used in Prog (in the Lap Steel Guitar entry, with John Paul Jones and Muse's Matt Bellamy examples). I guess they must be cool to use.
