What is the etiquette here regarding the use of diacritics (umlauts, haceks, accents, rings etc.) over letters in forum posts and reviews? No Swedish, Finnish, German, French, Hungarian, Czech or Kobaian music collection is complete without a good handful of these. Is it polite to use them, or would people prefer it if I stuck to the standard 26-letter English alphabet?

It's absolutely fine to use when discussing albums, like if I said 'I absolutely love Magma's Kobaïa' it really shouldn't be a problem, because that's the album title.

It is an english board though, so as long as discussion stays english I think it's fine. If you're discussing an album with a non-english name (like Alcest's Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde) then obviously, using some text in that language is fine, as long as the actual
discussion is in english.
