I grabbed a few albums by famous bands that I know, which I think is not all that good. Vote, please and feel free to add more "mistakes" in a list of your own...

I voted ELP Love Beach - looks and sounds like the Bee Gees (the Gibb brothers, right?)

Yes, it has to be the worst album-cover ever. Perhaps it IS Bee Gees???? A funny thing is that The Bee Gees album Odessa from 1969 is  IMO, BETTER then Love beach. It really is!!!

I voted for IQ's 'AYSC'. It was my first introduction to IQ and I never bought another album until I heard a track off 'Ever' on the radio, which made me ealise that they can't be all that bad!

Big Generator ... bland boring pop that makes That's All, Just A Job To Do, Mama and the Homes By The Sea etc really stand out,  can't believe it's 26-2 in "favour" of Genesis
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

BIG Generator, Yes...

"Genesis" ("Shapes") is actually a good album, one of the best from Three-man-Genesis if you ask me.

Big Generator is a classic in comparison to those on the list. And please don't compare anything that poppy Genesis put out in the 80's to anything Yes have ever done please!

Yes, I think that someone has voted multiple on Genesis. I won't allow multiple voting if I make a poll in the future. My intension was if someone thought two or three albums was equaly bad or something. Pity....

anyway it is always a bad feeling to vote for bad things. I rather use my voice to support good ones. If one likes most of genesis, hardly one can say that something else of genesis is absolutely bad, cause there are still the same guys with the same hands and ideas, for example i like everything of yes, in every work i can find a lot of what i like, the same it is with genesis.

...and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make...

Yes the poll is ruined. I like Big Generator (as everyone knows) and Genesis so I voted Earth Moving as I was really dissapointed with it. His worst short songs ever possibly.

'Love Beach' really was an awful album- even the cover didn't instill one with confidence, and the music; a hodge podge of pop/ AOR was even worse. That got my vote.

I think 'Works' by ELP could have a claim to being one of the worst, as could 'Tormato' by Yes and 'Rhapsodies' by Rick Wakeman that set about a creative torpor that he only recently began to recover from.

'Genesis', whilst not a very good album, was a little better than 'Abacab' was- it was far less patchy than 'Abacab'. That said, I don't particularly like either!!

'Are You Sitting Comfortably' was indeed terrible- I haven't heard much else by IQ though so I couldn't say how bad it is compared to their other stuff.

I voted for The Wedge by Pallas. I love their dubut album The Sentinel, and their 2nd album is horrible.

Big generator is a big disappointment, too.

I never dared to listen to Love Beach. I have never ever read anything positive about it. So...

Most of the listed albums have at least one track worth listening to; as far as 'Under Wraps' by Tull is concerned though...

I don't know who is more to blame for this one, Anderson, who effectively duplicated his contemporaneous solo album, or Vetesse, who added texture to 'Broadsword', but smothered 'Under Wraps' with appalling synth work - bear in mind too, that Anderson's solo album featured Vetesse strongly.

The following tour was the only time I have ever come close to walking out of a Tull gig halfway through.
