"Infinite Cascade" is a mesmerizing journey through cascading waves of sound, where each note flows into the next, creating an endless, unfolding sequence. It evokes a sense of perpetual motion, like a waterfall that never ends, enveloping the listener in its constant, hypnotic rhythm. This track by guitarist Dallton Santos, featuring Felipe Andreoli on bass and Bruno Santin on drums, is an explosion of energy and technique. With Dallton’s masterful guitar work, Andreoli’s creative and solid bass lines, and Santin’s precise and innovative drumming, the piece is a true display of musicality and virtuosity. The combination of these musicians brings a unique blend of heavy grooves, engaging melodies, and impressive technical moments, maintaining the intensity and flow of high-quality instrumental rock. |

We can't evaluate an artist based on just one track, but Dallton Santos has four albums of instrumental music out on Bandcamp, the first of these being 'The Deep Tracks', which was a compilation of very short works released as singles from 2011 to 2013. He also released an album called 'Virtual Fusion' in December 2012, another called 'The Inner Things' in January 2016, and one called 'Explore the Unknown' in February 2022, which he describes as: "threading between Rock and Fusion with lots of melodies, harmonies and experimental textures".
The latter album only has one track enabled for streaming on Bandcamp, but it's available in full on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmC0vO-d564. I'm listening to 'The Deep Tracks' album as I write, and it does sound like prog, but I'm not sure which sub genre it would fall under. Possibly Heavy Prog or Prog Metal, but I'm not entirely sure at the moment. His other albums seem to be more Jazz Rock/Fusion orientated from a quick scan of them. Let's see if there are any other opinions posted here regarding which sub this artist might fit under on PA. His albums are available on all the major streaming platforms, but no physical CDs have been pressed as far as I can tell. Edit: Dallton is also the guitarist of the Brazilian Prog Metal band Organic Reaction, who were added to the database with three straight 'yes' votes about four years ago. All his albums are tagged as prog (as well as ambient and pop) on Awesome Prog: https://awesomeprog.com/artists/19202. That's not a great deal of help in assigning a sub genre to him though. Edit 2: He also self-released an album on CD called 'Art in Motion' back in 2006, but only the title track is available digitally anywhere now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8tiG9O1y-k. He also had a CD pressed in July 2015 for the (still available digitally) EP 'The Inner Things'.
