Artists used to make guest appearances on each other's albums throughout the 1970s!
What are your favorites? I'll start with Jon Anderson's vocals on "Prince Rupert Awakes," King Crimson "Lizard!" Edited by cstack3 - May 16 2023 at 12:21 |

Jon Anderson is the only reason I still listen to King Crimson's Lizard album, and here he is again making a guest appearance on Tangerine Dream's Legend soundtrack.

From the top of my head: Randy California (from Spirit) on guitar for Peter Hammill's Red Shift. A perfect match! (the remaster is from 2006, but the track is from 1974) Edited by Saperlipopette! - May 16 2023 at 11:26 |

The thread creator wants guests on 70s albums. I don't know much about it, can't think of any that is important/relevant. Rick Wakeman helping out Black Sabbath in 1973?

Exactly! Wakeman also appeared on Bowie's "Space Oddity!" This is a great article, lots of stuff I didn't know! p.s. the 1970's LP was just to get us started!! I first heard amazing fretless bassist Percy Jones on Eno's "Another Green World!" I had to go "Who the F is THAT???" (look at the lineup....Phil Collins!) Edited by cstack3 - May 16 2023 at 12:41 |
