Isn't that just a Collins solo album?
|
Yeah, almost..
He does use guest musicians on his albums, though not many. I actually like some of his songs very much
|
I respect Phil Collins and he was a hell of a drummer... but... I'm just not too keen on his solo work or on most of later Genesis. That's simply preference, I suppose.

It's not preference.
His solo career is sh*t.

Kandahar are more obscure than Ain Soph. I have all of Ain Soph's albums though and they're very good! I even have the debut on CD. I think I should get the others, before Greg Walker sells them to nobody.

Yeah
And yes, Collins is one of my favorite drummers. His work with Brand X especially is amazing!

Aren't we feeling a bit happy today? I don't like it at all, but that doesn't mean Blowie can't enjoy it. And... even if it is definitely not prog, I'd say some of it is at least better than most crap. Then again, it does all come down to preference in the end even on that.

Sorry, I thought you were still listening to Area.
You should check out Mongol, another great Japanese fusion band. And more obscure than Ain Soph as well

I'm the almighty quote cutter! I'm not as familiar with his work in Brand X, but the one sample I did hear was pretty good! Another thing to the list! It makes me wonder if I ever will end up getting all of this music by the time I die.

I'd rather slash my wrists than listen to solo Collins.
|
James turning emo?
Then you would be the only emo listening to Univers Zero instead of Fall Out Boy

If all emos listened to Univers Zero instead of Fall Out Boy, I think we'd have ALOT more suicides.

Definitely do that!
Notably their Yume No Oka album is essential, IMO. Brilliant stuff, not unlike Ain Soph's debut
