I certainly do - he was in full swing when I started posting.

And what about Spectral? Now that was a funny and likeable fellow. I miss him. The last time he posted he said he became a father, so I guess this is what's keeping him occupied .

Good memories? Are you serious? The guy was a total jerk! In fact he was Flowerchild so that proves it.

I can't  take them seriously after that.

I think that kind of people should be ostracized and sent out off PA. We can't accept quitters that quit quitting! Like that The Lost Cause guy!...AngryLOL

Reminds me of that Pantacruelgrule guy. Got roughed up after some newbie errors, announced his departure, then came back all guns blazing. Always good for a petty picky rant, usually with no less than 500 words.
Mind you that seems a pattern. Join PA posters Voice an opinion as if you're stating an obvious fact, then get hammered for your uncluedness, become humble, & slink awayWink

Yea, I was wondering what happened to Pantacruelgruel.... I noticed he doesn't even have an account anymore.  I didn't even notice that he had announced his departure.

that's very kind of you Eric..She sure doesn't. She's being well taken care of.  She leaves for  Germany in the morning for  a Tolken seminar.  She's delivering a lecture.. having just have spoken .. and getting a standing 'O' from another conference in Milan yesterday.  She delivered a lecture on Fairy tales that was so good..she tried to stop after 45 minutes.. and the crowd made her continue.  That's our Raff...

That's really nice to hear about Raffaella's recent academic triumphs! Kudos to her!Clap

I studied some children's lit and fairy tales while at uni, so no doubt I'd find her talk particularly interesting.

If i cannot have the good fortune to attend one of Raf's talks (and meet her, of course), perhaps I can get to read some text some day?

I'd like that.Smile

Again, nice to hear the good news, Mick -- thanks for sharing it.

Hope you're hale and hearty too.Hug

It is Peter.. and I'll pass on your regards when I talk to her in the morning. Thanks, I know she'd appreciate the kind thoughts and words.

For me...oh yes Peter I try to be, but as you can imagine it is pretty rough, for both of us. Thankfully this will be the last seperation we have to endure.. thank god.. for it has been the hardest. It's only been 3 weeks.. and it feels like 3 years.

I was just looking at the book she dedicated to me.  Sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. She told me it seems I'm quite famous in certain academic circles in Italy now LOL.She's got quite a reputation, and she has earned it.   She sent me a portion of the text last year.. never having had any interest or real exposure to fairy tales.. .I found it to be a fascinating read. That is the mark of good writer. I may have it still on the hard drive.. if I do I'll send it to you.

^LOL

I've been writing reviews here for almost 3 years and have been using the site pretty much since it started but didn't join the forum until about 2 years ago. I should have joined the forum earlier, really, as I'm likely to be around a lot less later this year due to me starting university. I didn't witness the 'ELP wars' but they are mentioned in hushed tones even now...

As for members, Ghost Rider/Raffaella and Trotsky/Martin are missed around here, for sure. Posts and reviews with such wisdom as theirs always had are getting thinner on the ground.

I do remember Wallace though and he's certainly not missed!!LOL

I was thinking about Trotsky earlier on actually; I noticed it's his birthday today...

Happy birthday Trotters - wherever you are
