Classic Yes, because, surprisingly, it was decent.

Chronicles, although I don't actually think 'A Collection of Great Dance Songs' is too bad, pretty good for what it is.

i could only choose between three of the four here...and Chronicles takes the cake (however, it would be a different story if The Ultimate Yes was included)

The Rush one is alright. I'm going with the Moody Blues comp, though. One should have every Rush album, especially from 2112 to Moving Pictures; but I always felt the Moody Blues was best served by a Greatest Hits album. I had this comp as a teenager, and quite enjoyed it. (My favorite prog band is Floyd, and "Collection of Dance Songs" is atrocious, simply an abomination.)

I think the Echoes compilation from Pink Floyd is very good since it's got songs from every era, and sounds very well as an album. The downside to that one is that it's got a few edited shortened songs, which is rather frustrating.

"Dance Songs" is the only album I gave 1 star... even being a great admirer of Pink Floyd.
From the list above, I'll go with The Moody Blues.

Why does everyone hate 'Dance Songs'? The name may be a bit misleading, but it has a great selection of songs imo.

I don't have the Moody Blues one but as its winning by a country mile it must be the best. Of the other three I voted Classic Yes because the Floyd one is just pointless and Chronicles has that annoying excerpt from 2112 where it cuts off after part 2 ( whole thing or nothing please).

Not a big fan of the compilations, unless they include some one-offs. Out of this group, Chronicles stands out as my choice.

Only the Rush and Moody Blues albums are valid compilations. I choose for Rush.

I fully agree with this. Collection of Dance Songs originates from a mind that does not understand the music at all.

^I don't see it as 'not understanding the music'. I see it as just a collection of great Floyd songs, it's not any different then burning a mix CD of your favorite tracks.
