  I've been very lucky in the artists who have guested on the show over the nearly 49 years of SPACE PIRATE RADIO.  but PETE BARDENS revealed in a strong yet sensitive way, how much not being a part of CAMEL hurt him.  he wasn't maudlin or cloying, just open in a way that would have suggested we were friends for years., which we were not.  maybe I was like a therapist with a patient, but that wasn't how it seemed. anyway, it transcended any typical music interview and made the encounter special & above the mundane & profit margin motivated.  cheers, my friend!

I can see, this link matter is very important to you, Paul. And considering and accepting that, I can tell that I'm glad about, it gives me opportunity to see many of the incredible amount of albums, you have listened to. Smile

While I don't always agree with your rating, as I've been very fond of this album for about 30 years:

But you can maybe tell me something interesting about it. How come you call the band of this release "Shamal Gong"?

"Shamal" is a transitional album between Daevid Allen's Gong and Pierre Moerlen's Gong, so I've listed it under the name "Shamal Gong" to differentiate it from the two separate bands. It's also listed that way on Wikipedia's Gong page.

Okay, thanks, I guessed that.
I managed to find 54 Gong album links out of 57 in total, but 54 out of 57 ain't bad - to paraphrase Meat Loaf. Smile
 
Addendum: I just remembered to add the 1995 Gongzilla album  too , so that makes 55 out of 58 album links found. Smile

It's just the sheer joy and love of listening to and sharing good music, as well as listening to the 3000+ CD albums I have at home. It sure beats listening to the repetitive modern pop drivel played endlessly on Top 40  radio playlists.  Smile
