Cinema Show. Wish it was 23 minutes and Supper's Ready was only eleven.
Okay maybe thirteen, but only because I consider Aisle of Plenty part of Cinema Show, which makes it that much better.

Very difficult to decide, because both, in different ways, define all that was great about the band in that period. I'll go for Supper's Ready, if only for the hair raising conclusion.

It has to be imo Suppers Ready! It offers such variance and style. Not my favourite track admitedly but when I first heard it all those years ago, it just seemed such a tour de force!

..And it's hello babe with your guardian eyes so blue
Supper's Ready will always win any Genesis poll for me 'cause my wife has the most beautiful blue eyes and when we were first going out we used to do it on a fur rug while this played in the background.
Sorry TMI.
------------- Thank you for supporting independently produced music

Although Cinema Show was the first Genesis song I ever heard, and will forever love, Supper's Ready has the vote for me. All the different styles, with the amazing Apocalypse in 9/8 section, seal the deal.

Supper's Ready is the obvious choice here...Cinema Show is a great tune but this poll seems a bit mismatched! If You would have put it up against "Epping Forest" I would have to think twice ;)

I have to go with Cinema Show. While I love Supper's Ready almost as much, Cinema Show, for some reason, does much more for me.

Well I'm one of the few people who thinks Supper's Ready is overrated, I will choose The Cinema Show even though the true winner is The Battle of Epping Forest

Suppers Ready.
Although the Seconds Out version of Cinema Show is mindblowing and I think, better than the SO version of Suppers Ready...which aint bad.

Supper's ready, easily. If SEBTP was represented by Firth Fifth, that would be rather difficult.

Interesting that both songs feature two of Tony Banks' best keyboard solos. Whether epic proportions or not, Supper's Ready is my favorite.

One needs to compare Cinema Show to something else because Supper's Ready is untouchable.

Supper's Ready by far!
Definitely my favorite Genesis song, and just maybe one of my favorite songs of all time...
The Cinema Show is good but it doesn't even come close to Firth of Fifth, The Knife, Ripples, Dancing With The Moonlit Knight, and The Musical Box. I like some of their 80s stuff more too: Abacab; Mama; Land of Confusion; Follow You, Follow Me; No Reply At All...
Just my take on this poll.

Or you can go to the cinema and have supper there. Supper will be ready by the time the cinema show begins.

Odd to compare, in'nent it? One's a dream while the other is a slice of English life. Would rather not choose.

So which songs are number 2 and 3?
Supper's Ready would not be in my top 5 Genesis list.

(2 and 3 switch around all the time for me)
1) Suppers Ready 2) Dancing with the Moonlit Knight 3) Firth of Fifth 4) The Cinema Show 5) The Musical Box
